This was a national initiative launched at the Fall Dealer’s Market which tapped into the mortgage registration database that was published weeks after a family moved into a new location. Response sorted the lists against the neared Pro Dealer and personalized the mailer to that dealer’s store name. Head Office secured gifts including a Smoke Alarm and high quality flashlight as part of the welcome gift array available at the sponsoring dealer.
Research had shown new homeowners purchase many hardware items close to moving into a new place. The local friendly Pro dealer offered free gifts to promote a visit to their store.
The program ran for several seasons until privacy regulations closed the list source of new movers.
